Help needed - C4S Spacesaver Wheel

Hello to those that read this,

I'm new to the Porsche Club and also to the world of Porsche and am looking for some help.

I bought my beloved C4S, but she did not come with a Space Saver Wheel & Jacking kit, when I called a local Porsche dealer they informed me that the C4S does not have/need a spare wheel and it comes with a pump and foam kit??

I'm a bit confused, as she (My C4S) clearly has a space for what looks like a wheel !

Not wanting to get caught out with a flat and no spare I have been looking in the usual places like EBay and have found the following:

Space Saver on EBay

Wheel & Jack Kit - EBay

Could someone advise me if these are the correct items for my C4S 2003 wide body, and if not please let me know where best to purchase

Many thanks

A slowly deflating Mick

Mick!

That space-saver isn't the right one - it is for a C2 or Boxster, where the wheel mounts vertically at the back of the compartment. That tool kit looks to be the one that fits into the back of the spacesaver.

The C4 spacesaver is "collapsible" (ie deflated) and fits under the compartment floor panel. The tools, and a compressor to inflate the tyre, just sit inside it.

I would contact a breaker like Porsche-Apart. I'm sure they would have what you need.

JRC..... Now why didn't I think of that?!?.... what a numpty I am[:)]

Checked my handbook (page 102 for the record) and all was revieled

Thanks

Mick

Richard,

Many thanks for your advice on what I thought could have been the right wheel.... I am appreciative for your input and what could have been an embarrassing scene on my driveway I had committed to the purchase "¦ []

I've had a quick scan of the Porsche-Apart website and will give them a call today

This is a fine example of what forums and being a member of a club is all about THANKS AGAIN!!

Mick
