Hi all I am trying to remove my door panel so that i can investigate a really anoying rattle. I have a full set of instructions and the first part ask's to remove the negative terminal on the battery. I have just done that and the alarm is going of. Does anyone know how i can stop the alarm from going off when the terminal is disconnected??

Before removing the Neg terminal the car needs to know you are not trying to steal it [:D]

It figures that if you can prove you have the right key, then the car belongs to you.

So to let the car know it's yours put the key in the ignition and turn to the first click (accessory) position. Then you can remove the neg terminal and the alarm will not trigger [:)]
