HELP- NEW BUYER ADVICE

Hi all.

could you pls help me or advise me quickly - I have been looking for a boxster for a good yr now , think i have found the 1 i want , just need to know wht to lok out for - its a 2000 W - 2.7 Manual with 41k on the clock - last serviced at 34k , but i know nothing about them , what sounds do i need to listen out for. have had it all HPI'd - all ok , just when i go to test drive it , just need to know what i need to look for - If any1 could give me a ring for advice i would be greatful - 07968 21 23 40 , may be the owner by tomorrow afternoon !!!!!

Sam ... Get your local OPC to give it the once over. They have a set charge for this service but its worth every penny because you just never know.... Good luck and keep us all posted on how it pans out [;)]
 
same what area doyou live in?


only common problem to look out for on any boxster any age is a small drip of oil on the ground about mid way between back wheels.
engines are sound and like most german cars seem to improve with age
 
Thanks very much, i am in Manchester and i am going to look at the car in Nottingham , i have agreed a price etc , he just said , a couple of small stone chips at the front and it requires 2 new tyers at the back , i have bought cars before , but i can always get to the engine and view , but with these its just so difficult , so creaks and squeaks so be ok , i will watch for the oil , blue smoke at start up etc , anything else? thanks for your help , oh and by the way , how much are we talking for the next service? and what would be needed, and lastly , how much is it fro clear lights all round - Porsche have said £1000 for all round?????

full Porsche OPC service history with recipts is good.

rear tyre will cost you approx £150 each for 17"

Helen where did you get your V6 from[;)]mine is a horizontally opposed 6-cylinder

X reg standard Black, 2.7 manual. full black leather interior, climate control, door guards, 6 cd changer, wind deflector with Porsche crest in black, 17"boxster s wheels. approx 35k miles. full OPC service history. Janspeed exhaust[8D] full GT3 bodykit [8D]

i would want about £27k for it. i also have a hard top for it.

no i really want to keep MY boxster i know this sounds silly but it's my baby, but i think finachally im going to have to say bye bye or go back to work [:'(][:'(]
