HELP - PA2000 Alarm

Wander if anyone can help me, done the usual, forgot to put optimate on car battery & battery gone flat with car in alarmed mode. Disconnected the battery and put on charge. On re-connection with the car the hazard lights flash to show alarmed but car will not respond with key. If you try anything the alarm just goes mad.

Any ideas on what I need to do, thanks. p.s. will ring hamilton & palmer thursday if get no joy.

When I had this problem it did sort itself out with a few (3 or 4) repeat presses of "arm" and "disarm" on the buttons. But mine's a PA1000. No doubt H&P have given you a solution by now. I switched off the alarm horn before I reconnected battery (to save my neighbours) and made sure the battery was well connected up before I started trying to get the alarm to clear.

You have probably rung them by now, but the PA2000 remote can be programmed/re-programmed to your car. This sounds like what you need to do.

There is a sequence of ignition on./off's followed by pressing of the remote etc.

H&P will obviously have the instructions on how to do this, they supply a instruction sheet when you buy a new remote, which I did about 2 years back.

I will try to find the instructuion sheet if your really stuck. Let me know.

EDIT: Ive found the instructions, you need at least one working remote to re-program a new one, so this is no use to you.

Thanks for your advice, rang H&P yesterday, they want me to take alarm pcb out of car & send back with key fobs for reprogramming. Just looking around now for somewhere to buy the tamper proof socket end from to get at pcb. Can I get it out just by undoing the 6 screws at the front or do I have to get the entire box unscrewed from the floor under the seat ? Looking at it I was just guessing I would be be able to slide the pcb out when got the 6screws undone & persume theres couple of plugs to pull off?

Thanks for your help guys.

I'm guessing the club might be a little sensitive about me posting pics etc here so I'll send you a pm [;)]
