Help - part needed

Hello.
After several years I have decided to retro fit a proper airbox onto my 1987 LUX instead of the cone filter put on by the previous owner. I have been able to source an airbox, but I am stuck with the front support bracket. There seem to be plenty for early cars, but not the oval dash ones. I have tried several indy parts people and breakers, plus Ebay without luck. My next step is to try the local OPC, but thought I would also try this forum as there must be more 944s here than anywhere else.

So, does anyone have part number 944 110 067 01, the airbox front support bracket for a 1987 LUX? More than happy to exchange beer tokens for it and any expenses.

Cheers and thanks in advance.

Showing as available in PET for £47.06 including VAT

I'm surprised none of the usual breakers can help you?

Plenty of dismantlers on ebay - have you tried sending messages to the ones that have oval dash spares listed?

Also another option is to make your own bracket from a section of aluminium or steel, good DIY shop should have a selection of metal strips and plates.

Thanks dlknight, illI try both suggestions. My wife did say I should make my own!!!
Nearly £50 seems a lot for a fairly small piece of steel.

Just to close off this thread. I did find a bracket on Ebay. Provided at a very reasonable price (I thought) of £15 by Shrivecars of Bedfiordshire. Almost new condition too.

Job done!
