Hi all,

So I have just managed to mess up my electics. I hadn't used my 993 C2S for 3 weeks (due to work travel) and the battery had died. I had a few issues when jumping it and when I got it started the following occured: 1) No speedo, 2) handbrake light on 3) Trip computer working but not light not on 4) Spoiler light on.

Any thoughts? Help!

Cheers,

Alex

Hi Alex

You not having the best time then!

Have you checked all the fuses?

You could try completely disconnecting the battery for approx 30 mins then reconnected it and try again. Sometime the simple things work.

Let us know how you get on

Well MO30 you hit the nail on the head! It was a fuse and a little time spent with the volt meter meant that it wasn't an expensive problem which I had originally feared.

However, the trip computer light is still off and also the stereo is not working. Any thoughts?

I have not yet removed the stereo to check the fuse and suspect that the trip computer bulb has blown which could have been the cause of the fuse going.

Cheers,

Alex

Have you have checked all the fuses in the fuse box? Just In case the one for the Stereo has gone too? Don't have a manual to hand to tell you which one. Does your stereo have the in line fuse holder or is it in the back of the Stereo? If it's the in line one you should be able to check from under the dash if you can find it.

Are all your other dash lights on the dials working? If so then I'm sure it will be the bulb.

Hope you resolve it soon

Graham
