Can anyone tell me how the front bumper ie the bit with the side lights and indicators comes off ( mine needs replacing)

It seems to be attached to 2 brackets which fix to the chassis. Do I unbolt the brackets from the chassis or do I unbolt the bumper from the bracket itself. Of the 2 its seems a better idea to leave the brackets attached to the chassis ... does anyone have any advice...I couldn't find anything at Clarks Garage .....

any advice gratefully received....by the way my old bumper was made in 1993 so its quite a bit younger than the rest of the car!!!

According to the Haynes manual (pg 184 -15) the bumper is removed:-

"1. Two bolts hold the front bumper to the vehicle. They are accessible from underneath (the bumper), above the fog lamps.

2. Remove the two bolts with a socket wrench....

3. Extend the bumper just enough to disconnect the lights on each end....

4. Pull the bamper away from the vehicle"

Sounds really easy [8|]

Thanks John, I'm still waiting for my Haynes to arrive and couldn't wait to get cracking...a case of less haste more speed, as usual in my case...
