Help Please S2 Owners

I would be grateful for a little assistance.

HVAC System vacuum lines - engine bay side
I have one running direct to the heater control valve - which incidently works fine.
The other comes up and meets a 'Y' piece. one side runs to the vacuum reservoir the other to a check valve (blue and black) but thats where it ends!
Clearly that's not correct - surely. I would be grateful to know where yours runs.
Or if your set up is different from what Ive described above - what you've got.
The vehicle is a 90 S2 cab
