i am considering adding BBS wheels to a 964RS ( to protect the mags ) i am looking at the 18" BBS gold centres mag racing wheels on carnewal.com , what size / sizes fit the 964

thanks v much in advance

You can go up to 8" et 52 on the front and 10" et 61 on the rear( requires spacers).

Don't have BBS mags but speedlines.

The Mags will crack so not recommended for road use. Alu centres are stronger I believe.

PhilRS has a set made for his RSR. All he need was a Vin no. BBS had the records for his car. Centre nut versions.

Gert or Thomas( H&S) should keep you right.

Keep us posted on how you get on as I would possibly like a set at some point in the future and think the BBS rims with the gold Alloy centres are the mutts nutts...

Bought a lovely set of mags of my mate ChrisW. Thought my Speedlines were nice however the gold BBS totally transformed the look of the car! Treat yourself!

Ring Brian at Jasmin for the offsets...he may even have a suitable set for sale!

yep, it is the BBS with gold centres, centre locks i fancy, as per the orange clubsport on www.gtclassics.co.uk. lovely

BBS will offer two types of wheels: "old style" (as I had on my RSR) with gold magnesium centres; "new style" with gold aluminium centres.

Think about what you need, how you will wash them (gold magnesium very hard to keep clean!) and how often you will polish those shiny aluminium rims!

Think also about anodised aluminium --- I have put a set of Fikse forged aluminium alloys onto my 993RS for daily running and because they are anodised, whilst they look fab and are lightweight, they are also easy to keep.

So I keep the refurbished Speedlines in store and hope that they will stay nice !!

if you are going to run the BBS as everyday rims, I would highly recommend getting the outer shoulders anodised unless you enjoy spending hours re-polishing everytime you use the car. yes - it really is that bad.

you can get the rims supplied unassembled, then get the shoulders anodised which costs about 15 GBP each one. London Colney Anodising have just done a set for me.

ChrisW's Fikse wheels look lovely on his motor so definitely worth considering them too.
