Hi Guys, I have been given a Clubsport steering wheel to try before I buy type thing by a very generous fellow member, I can not get hold of my Mechanic poss holidays.

In anycase I have searched on here and found nothing, will a Club sport off a 1983 SC fit my 964 Cab, it has a boss on it, is it a straight swap[>:]

Plus anybody know a link to help with the swap/instructions, i have tried the internet but with no joy plus searched on here.

Many thanks for any help[:D]

I think the steering columns are different on the two cars, the spline is smaller on the early car. I think but if it doesnt fit the club sport steering wheel will take a standard, momo, sparco, ektor boss. around 30-40£. Dont quote me on the columns tho i may be wrong, best bet is ring someone like design-911 for info. Dont buy tho they are much to expensive for Pork bits!!

Link on my website describing how to change them, though I cannot say for sure you're will fit.

Correct the hubs are different but you can buy the hubs from type 911 i believe for about £30, i chnged mine last year

I've just bought a clubsport wheel with hub for mine. Although I've not fitted it yet, I can see straight off that the existing hub (for a momo wheel) will not fit because it is clamped to the wheel by six small allen bolts. The club sport wheel fits to its hub via 3 larger bolts. As long as you have the correct hub for the wheel it's an easy job to fit (I know from having taken my existing wheel off a number of times to do other jobs on the car).

Hi guys thanks for the reply's, I have contacted type 911 & they don't have any instock & it will be a few weeks before they get anymore[:(]

Any ideas who else stock the boss that will fit at a similar price please.

Brilliant response so far.[:D]
