Help wanted - Cayenne Turbo

Have owned a Cayenne S for two years and enjoyed - now time to change!

V impressed with Turbo - demo available at local OPC.

Advice greatly appreciated.

My car 04 Cayenne S (good spec) 20k miles offered £42K

Cayenne Turbo (top spec) registered 2 months and 3 k miles £71k

Personally I wouldn't want to take on an ex-demo car. Especially if people use and abuse it the way I have on test drive plus outings. I know they say that the car has about 2/3K spent on it but its still been thrashed in the most venerable part of the engines life.. Not to mention suspension, brakes etc etc.

Cars used for track days and test drive plus days are Porsche Uk cars, not owned by the garages, and when it comes to selling them they are sold into the trade as ex track day cars.

My 997S was a full specced demo and i took it because the spec suited and delivery was immediate. The Cayenne turbo was bought in by the OPC as personal transport for the MD.

If you were happy with that. That's great. As for garage owned cars they are still hammered but by more people more often. I think people test driving a car want to experience a little of what the car has to offer, invariably that means driving it hard. So a car with 3 or 4 k on the clock could have had 50 or 60 people plus the salesman who fancies some fun when he can thrash it. Not for me.
