help wiring behind fuse box

just googled 911 pics and see it may go into the top of fuse 16. could someone check for me if they have a 85 911 3.2. thank you

Taking out a piranha alarm t95/55 and have most of it out. But behind the fuse box they have cut into a heavy cable which is red with a very thin green tracer. I cannot see on the fuse box were they have taken it out.

The alarm system has had it and has permanently immoblised the car and as its no longer at risk its coming out.

Can anyone please help to were this should go. Im thinking fuse 12 l/h headlamp as its were i took out part of the alarm but that doesnt make sense ?

Thanks

Derek

Mine's an '88 so probably different. However I'll have a look when my car is out of the garage, but that won't be until Friday. Can't do before as access is too limited. Have you pboned Charles Marsland? He's the font of all 3.2 knowledge!

Your best bet is probably to access/join the Impact Bumper web site as they tend to only deal with IB's and earlier cars. Good bunch of enthusiasts and always ready to help. Apologies if you already know about this group. Good luck.

Cheers. Will hopefully get a few hours at it this afternoon to try and get her going. The last thing to remove is the last bit of the alarm loom that heads down a grommet about 12 inches from the bulhead stuff. So probably going to have to remove carpets and seats to find it or hopefully it goes straight through to the engine compartment. The car is turning over ok but just wont start so could be the wire to the fuel pump or its immobilised still through the coil?? All fun and games removing aftermakrket alarms. Thanks for all your help guys.

Can any one offer a way to remove a car park ticket from the windscreen demister vents, the noise is !!!!!!!!!!!!! Paul ps no comments from MR Hack

Comments, moi? I'd start by suggesting you post this question in a new thread so it doesn't get lost in the mire of the fuse box wiring discussions. Then I'd suggest removing the plastic vent trim (dumpy Phillips screwdriver should do it - or a right angled version if that doesn't get it) to allow easier access perhaps with a pair of tweezers. Tip - get Jo to fish for it as she's got more chance of getting close to the problem than you have with your bear like hands! Tip 2 - just in case the tweezers get dropped, tie a long piece of string to them for easy retrieval. If access still impossible, remove windscreen so you can fish for the ticket with a pair of long-nosed pliers. Tip 2 - summer is here so no need to replace screen until October but don't expect to win the concours (although previous al fresco entrants have thought they were in with a shout...) Once ticket has been retrieved, I would suggest you stick future documentation on the (now replaced) screen? Wardens don't take kindly to ticket-vent interfaces!! If you MUST make more noise (and I find my engine is music enough) then use the cyclists method of a lolly stick held to the wheel spokes with a peg...! But of course, I'm not allowed to comment, so my lips are sealed...[:D][:D][:D]
