Help with a valuation?

I wonder if someone could point me in the right direction to get a proper valuation of my car. I have a 1990 944 S2 that we have owned since new, so this is a one owner car and has done only 73,000 miles. We would like to have it valued for insurance purposes and also a guide price idea if we were to decide to part with it?

A few details: 1990 944 S2, it is black metallic with cream leather interior. 73000 miles from new. 1 owner and for over 28 years. The car itself is kept beautifully with hardly a mark on it and serviced always at the dealer so there is lots of paperwork, stamps in the book and all the things I got with the car when it was new are present and correct. There cannot be many 1 owners cars, are there any original owners in the forum?

Thank you for any advice.

Hi,

The Club offers free valuations as part of your membership and most insurers recognise and accept Porsche Club valuations.

Join the Club online or call the Clubhouse on 01608 652911 during office hours. Once signed up the valuation option will be available to you.

Thanks,

Chris

As you said not many like that about, if not a member of PCGB join up and get a free valuation through the club which can be done online which more than covers the cost of an independent valuation.
99.9% of insurers will accept the valuation.
post some pics for us if you have time, reading what you have written I would put the valuation at 18 - 22k realistically IMO .

Sounds lovely, maybe Frenchy's valuation will be about right as it will be extremely difficult to find a similar car for sale (or to persuade an owner to part with it) if you were looking to replace following an insurance claim.

Conversely I think you might have to wait a while if you put it up for a private sale at that price - maybe £15k is more like it?

How much would those Scottish cowboys retail a car like this for?

Thank you for that, good to know, I will sign up now.

We may be selling, I am older and have not really used the car much over the last few years as it seems to get lower and more difficult to get in and out everytime. It's always garaged when unused and I have been having a local specialist called Strasse look after it over the last few years, other than that it has always been looked after by the dealer. I'll see if i can get a picture to upload which may help.

I would concur with Frenchy - 18k - 22k depending on condition. My own car is similar with 57,000 miles, but more owners. However, it's in virtually concours condition and my thoughts are that in the current market, i would expect to get around £20,000 for it if I was to sell - not that I'm looking to, but I like to keep an eye on the market.

That looks nice. I would judge my own car to be among the better, there is no negatives it more or less still looks like it did when we got it. It has never been driven hard and I can say that. Thank you for your help. I will join the club and see about this written valuation.
