What ever someone is willing to pay for it. [;)]

Get a copy of 911 & Porsche World, they have vast number of cars for sale, so that should give you some indication.

I think the Lux will see a renaissance with people looking for well balanced sports cars that they can enjoy. Monster power Turbos are great fun but don't have the delicate feel of a Lux and, in these days of wall to wall scameras, seldom can one really enjoy a big Turbo.

I haven't seen the prices for ages, because I haven't been looking, but would suggest £3.5K.

Thanks John,
Had it up for £2995 but no takers at all, only on Autotrader and Pistonheads mind you, must put it on here to,
Thanks for the input

Has it had a belt service since 2003? If not, this will put people off. Even with the mileage it's due, and is an immediate big potential bill.

I think John's right about Luxes, but values are really low. I'd try again more widely at £2995, but how quickly do you need to sell?

Hi Ian, My current Lux is a 1986 in guards red with 144,000mls 2.5l with a service history similar to yours, she is immaculate and I paid £2200 last October so I think £2500 -£3000 is about right for yours, having said that I sold my original Lux which was a 1987 again a 2.5l 18 months ago for £4200 she was in black with 119,000mls but I held out for that price as I knew she was worth it.
If I was you I would use the classifieds on www.pistonheads.com its free to advertise and generally attracts serious buyers.

Best of luck.

If you can it maybe worth waiting a month or two because nicer weather seems to make adifference in selling as it brings out people and intrest[;)]

I had a 2.7 (114k recent belts & rollers VIP) and sold it 18Mths ago for £3800 - I think prices have dropped a bit since then but the 2.7's are imho worth a bit more than a 2.5 - If you can wait a while & try the car shows that might be a good option.

I get the impression that prices have dropped markedly for early lux and oval dash cars over the last year and a half or so. I picked up an average condition 130k 86 944 oval dash that needed belts done and one or two other bits for £1400 early last year and thought I was getting a bargain but this kind of price is a lot more common now.
S2 and turbos seem to have held a bit steadier.
