I noticed a slight drop in coolant level and some pink spots on the drivers footwell carpet. My indie has checked it out and said the heater matrix is probably on the way out. He advised that it would be a dashboard out job to diagnose it properly and if a new heater matrix was required I would not be getting much change out of £1K.
My brother is quite handy with a spanner so we were wondering how difficult it would be to undertake this job ourselves. Has anyone done this before? How difficult would it be? The car is a 1990 S2. Thanks in advance.
