Hi,
I looked in the engine bay today, and saw a cylinderical part (not very technical) at the back left top.
It had a thick cable coming out of it at one end, and the cable came all the way around the engine bay and it was just lying near the engine lid release cable.

It looks very much like an engine release cable.

ANy idea what this cable is for pls?

Peter I got my cruise control cable and a servo that I didn't need for free + shipping from a Pelicanite. You should be able to locate one on the www or try the breakers here, they are around for a lot less than new prices.
