Hesitating 944 turbo

My car has started hesitating when the turbo boosts in. IF I floor the car it pulls fine until it reaches 4k revs and then it feels like it is losing power, it then starts pulling again and hesitates again. Seems to feel like it is coughing.

I fitted the car with a tial dpw, promax chip, 3 bar fpr and greddy profec. in January. The car ran perfectly for 2 months at 16 psi but started doing this the otehr day. I have replaced rotor cap and arm, plugs (gapped to 0.7mm), magnecor leads, fuel filter.

I am starting to get annoyed with the car and do not know what it could be.

Anyone go any ideas?

Cheers
Sandy

Boost leak? - have a quick check of all your (post turbo) pipework. Re-reading your post, it doesn't sound like that is the cause, but worth checking anyway.

How about checking the AFM for wear? (I have a good used spare [;)])

How do you check the AFM for wear? Pretty sure I dont have a boost leak as I am getting good vaccum pressure at idle and there does not appear to be any noises from engine. Was thinking of cleaning out the TB (throttle pos sensor) and idle stab valve.

Do you think it could be fuel pump or injectors? Good escuse to upgrade if it is them ! [:D]
Cheers

AFM testing is covered on Clark's Garage (as is TPS testing)

You can have a good vac & still get a boost leak - it's worth spending 10 mins just to check the tightness of your hose clips

Your ISV shouldn't feature (unless it's leaking boost).
