Welcome from a fellow 981CS owner. I'm a big fan of red with red interior bits, so that would be a keeper for me. Replacements parts aren't cheap either.

Hi Dean,

Congratulations, looks a great car!

Obviously we'd love to welcome you as a full member so give the Clubhouse a call on 01608 652911 if you need any information.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you soon.

Chris

Thank you. I’m so excited. The dealer are including silver in the deal. Over a grand they said they were (I guess as it has the cup holder mechanism).

It might grown on me but my initial reaction was not good.

I just tried online. Tapped in my CC details and then it just had a white page saying please enter your card details.

Happy to get involved and support

Welcome to the Club, Dean! Your new membership pack will be with you soon.

If you have any questions relating to your Porsche ownership then just give the Clubhouse a call.

Chris

Hi Everyone,

Longtime lurker while I’ve been in the market but I’ve finally sealed the deal on a 2014 Cayman S over the last few days. It’s being prepared now and I pick it up next week!

I have been looking for a while because I had a fussy spec:

It’s in Guards red with the platinum 20” Carrera S wheels

My must haves that are on it:

PCM
PASM
PSE
Sport plus seats
PDK
Sport Chrono
Sport Design wheel

It has some nice to haves:

Bose
Crest on seats and wheels
PDLS +

As well as a lot of the stuff you’d hope would be standard but isn’t and would be a bit annoying

Cruise control
Phone module for PCM
Folding mirrors
Dipping mirrors
Floor mats
2 zone climate
Washer jets painted
Heated seats

It has Guards red interior trim which I might swap but all in I’m very happy and excited.

Welcome Dean,

Cayman - forum - Club: great combination..!

Looks like a very well spec'd car. Hope everything goes smoothly with the handover.

Thanks. Im getting it from Porsche Bristol and they seem to have a good reputation from reading online.

Welcome to the club and the register Dean, I just checked the latest register listing and after taking out the multiple entries find that I can't say you are our 1000th member as we only have 993 and building rapidly! I'm sure that you will enjoy the car when you get to drive it full time. The red interior I'm sure you will get used to, I had a Terracotta leather interior in my first Cayman S and loved it, quite distinctive! Very expensive to change if you did decide you can't live with it though and I know when I changed to my current 987/2 ( very similar spec to your car different colours ) I wasn't sure about the black interior after the Terracotta!

It's only the plastic trim. Like on this boxter:

And I've been shopping already. Got a cover for in the garage and these bits. I said to the Mrs it's the same as when we got stuff for the kids before they turned up haha

That looks very tasteful to me Dean; the red trim breaks up the swathes of black leather rather nicely.

If you wanted to change it you could probably get the red trim repainted - replacement parts could be v-expensive (we're talking Porsche here..!)

Jeff

Nice car Dean. If you did decide you couldn't live with the optional red trim parts I bet you could find someone willing to swap to give their interior a 'lift'.

I just bought a silly plate. Oops.

I work for BAE Systems

And for non millenials BAE is an acronym for 'Before anyone else" that's typically used to refer to a boyfriend or a girlfriend, a lover, a crush or really anyone considered to be the most important person in another person's life.
