Hi all,

Just joined this forum in anticipation of buying my first Porsche! Having had an Audi ur quattro for the past 12 years, I'm fancying a change and a 993 is what I am after.

My requirements are: -

Black or metallic blue
Manual
Varioram if possible (so post 1996)
Coupe
As original and unmolested as possible!

Looking forward to ownership!
Cheers [:)]

Hi

Welcome to the forum and the club, the 993 are fantastic cars and have fun with your search. Once you've found your ideal car you'll have no regrets and every mile will be with a smile - that smile is still with me after 18 years of ownership!!

This club is great and offers fantastic events where you can make many friends, all with a similar passion for Porsche's

Good luck with your search and let us all know how you get on - with plenty of photos once purchased

Cheers

Graham

Hi Benjamin(o)

Funny, I've just bought an SQ2 for 'normal' use ..

Good choices of requirements, but the more set you are, the longer will be your search ..[8D]

'Original and unmolested' could equate to 'neglected and not maintained' .. and replacing items such as original shocks with better ones will only enhance the car.

Things like running approved matching tyres less than 5 years old, and using premium oils consistently through its life are good things to look out for.

There is a '993 Buyer's Guide' on the web site, but if you want the real one based on years of owners experiences, drop me a PM !

cheers, Maurice

Thanks Maurice!

By original /unmolested, I really mean no 'daft boy racer' modifications! I don't mind lowering springs and shocks as that's exactly what I have done with my ur quattro, and a full bespoke stainless exhaust. [:)]
