Hi Guys,

It's been about 2 years since my last Porsche but i'm back (back for good)... Are there any events taking place shortly or does anyone fancy an impromptu meeting/catch up shortly? Just collected my new car and it's great!

Does Alan (C4S) or Daz (GT3) still frequent the forum?

All the best,

Chris [:)]

Hi Chris,

Been a while, look foreward to a meet up. What is the spec of your new machine?

Big meet up in Llandudno tomorrow Sunday 17th April. Porsches on the Prom, 50th PCGB Anniversary meet up. R14 members meeting up at 8:00am Builth Wells. But we are going up early to meet my mother, taking my daughter so going to be a long day.

Catch up soon.

Alan

Hi Alan,

Typically, I checked the forum too late to take any action... I hope you and your daughter have a great day, with weather on your side, i'm sure you will...

As for the car, 987 boxster, mid night blue with contrasting tan leather (sadly a 2.7 but my other half has some input now on my purchases or should I say ours?) boxster s wheels in immaculate condition, truly unmarked.

Keep in touch Alan, let me know if we can have a little catch up (obviously with others more than welcome) Have you seen Daz recently?

Chris

With the sun set for the duration of the easter break any impromptu get together is most welcome, pehaps a little run through Brecon, or along the coast...

any interest...?

Your making me green with envy. We are not able to ditch the three year old as easy as the fourteen year old :0)

My wife and I drove from Newport to Machynlleth a few weekends ago for the day. The weather was great. We would love to join you one day if its an open invitation?

Regards

Martin

Hello Martin,

You are more than welcome (and your wife of course) ...plus anyone else who is interested? It would be great to have a little get together on the Saturday or Sunday!

We would love to join you, but would probably have to slot into your plans at the last minute subject to finding babysitters.

Ill get the boss to work on her mother.

Hi Martin,

Sadly it looks like its just us at present... shame as the weather is ideal. However, i'll endeavour to get something arranged, perhaps something for next week?

I'm based minutes from Cardiff, where are you located?

Babysitter sourced - time to hit the road. Destination below.

Blue Anchor Inn
East Aberthaw
Barry, South Glamorgan CF62 3DD

Looking forward to a bite to eat and a slow :0) drive in the car.

heading off at 16:30

.....

The wife didn't fancy the Blue Anchor, so we had a drive around and ended up at Cardiff Bay. Followed a lovely looking deep Blue Boxster into the multi story car park.

Hi,

Been up to my neck with one thing and another so missed the thread after my reply [:(]

Although had an oil sensor issue so my car has been grounded since that reply and did not make it to Llandudno afterall.

When the on board computer mentions oil failure and the dial drops to zero illustrating no oil pressure, life is suddenly not good!

Managed to get her to Cardiff OPC yesterday and all is well now. New oil switch.

I will check on here more often.

Alan.

What a nightmare Alan, i'm glad to hear its ok now, phew!
Hey, sorry for the late reply Martin... the bay isn't too bad... have you had a thoughts on a retry for this weekend or Monday?

My other half and I are good to go, Alan, do you have time for a run out?

Worst case: Just a catch up
Best case: the above and a run out?

Any thoughts?

[;)]...actually the Bay might be a nice place to start Sunday or Monday

Hi All,

Just asked the boss to speak to her mother about babysitting. If we get the nod we will join you starting at the bay.

Stevie996 are you free?

Regards

Martin

Apologies for the late reply, we could meet at penarth and drive the coastal rds and end at the bay for a few drinks. Or make our way to brecon and back to the bay. Another option, just a catch up at the bay... Any thoughts or ideas?

Both are good for me. If I had a preference it would be back at the Bay for drinks.

Are we talking late afternoon early evening, if so this fits in well with the babysitter. If its earlier in the day, the wife said she will stay home and let me out on my own (cos i'm a big boy now)

:0)

Hi Martin,

Sounds good to me... Well my other half and I are together for the full bank holiday weekend (which is a rare thing as she's in the medical profession...) so maybe a later meeting today (around 15.00/16.00?) The two girls could chit chat while we talk cars [:D]

I'm quite happy to make our way north and meet you and have a quick run upto Brecon and back to the Bay?

Or, an earlier run tomorrow (around 11ish)

Ps. Don't go showing me up with a highly polished car - we were out yesterday and some flies have made a home on my front bumper!
