Hi There
I have just bought my first Porsche today, a 2006 997 carrera 4 S and it has one month of warranty left, can any of the peeps advise me on how I can extend the warranty and if so what one to go for?

Many Thanks
AL

I would get down to the nearest OPC asap as the will need to check it out prior to offering a warranty.

If you want the Porsche Warranty, you need to have a 111 point check done at an OPC. If the car fails any of that check they will require you to have the faults corrected before they will give you a new warranty. Re failing, this will include any non-original Porsche parts, including in one example posted here, the wipers!

It is important to have this check done before your existing warranty expires so that any work that would be covered by the warranty can be done before it runs out!

The check costs £ 172 and the one year warranty is £ 1,350 (two years is £ 2,495 I think). You may be able to get the check cost waived if you buy the warranty.

There are a couple of other non Porsche Factory warranties available but you will need to search the forum for details of those.

Wipers!!

I have just purchased a pair of Porsche wiper blades [:)]
The dealer was actually cheaper than Halford!! and fitted them for me...

As pointed out, get the car booked into the OPC to have the checks done and any faults found covered under the excisting warranty (if covered)
and welcome to the forum.
