Just a hi. I am not new to Porsche, but am new to owning one.

Picked up my Carrera 3.2 at lunchtime yesterday and absolutely love it. Not as smooth as current models, but more engaging.

Was interesting trying to defrost my windscreen this morning. Took all the way to get to work before it cleared.

Anyway, hi!!

Hi Patrick

GRRRRREAT to see you on here!! [:)] and even better to see you and your new Baby lastnight!! She's absolutely STUNNING and sounds awesome too!! The Guys on here are very welcoming and will help you around the site if you get stuck! I've only been on here a week and they have been really great in helping me find my feet and in getting my social diary booked up. Check out all of the R19 threads and maybe also take a peek at R20 & R29's forums. I've been reliably informed that it is acceptable to join in with other Regions outings...

Anyway, Great to see you on here and hopefully you can make it along to the Christmas doo's we talked about lastnight!

Finally, Guys - Me and Patrick had the conversation lastnight regarding the passing of fello 'Porsche Owners' on the road...Patrick has already been waved at in 'Betsy' (less than 24hrs of ownership!!!) however people won't even look at me in mine let alone wave?! [] I have always been MASSIVELY into Porsche's however I have now decided and am merely pre-warning you all - IF I SEE YOU OUT AND ABOUT ON THE ROAD - IM GONNA FLASH & WAVE! Ignore me if you must but im going to make myself look like a Freak even if you choose to ignore me! [;)] X

When I am driving my 924 turbo to work, daily, hardly any one acknowledges my freindly wave. 911 owners are second only to Bosxter owners in terms of ignorance and dismissiveness. I don't get much better results in my 944 either. Thank goodness you seem to be a rare breed, Clare, a 911 owner with her feet planted firmly on the ground. Jezz, the other day I passed a 924 going the other way but even they didnt wave back.

Hey Clare babe,

Nice to see you too. Only feel like hours since I last saw you.....eeek, it was!

I am sure we are going to have alot of fun in our Porsche's.
x

as for the Boxster/944 arguments. They are all Porsche's and worthy of the badge. I happen to adore the Boxster. I love the way it handles.

Well I wave ..but I don't think the other drivers seem to see me since the sun is so low in the sky these days ..you just get glare of the windscreen. ..so this could be the cause. I might have to flash instead.

Clare - since your in my neck of the woods Im looking out for a black carrera 4 to wave at or flash!![;)]

Hi Patrick

Congrats on your new Porsche ...a great car! Hopefully I will see your car at one of the meets.
In the meantime can you post a picture of your new car? Would love to see it?

J.
