HID on Main beam?

Having done the "dipped" conversion, it only makes the main beams look even more pathetic!
Has anyone converted their main beams as well?
TIA

I think the slow ignition (relatively) of the bulb when switching to full beam puts people off converting the main beam.

I've read about a couple of owners doing this. Most don't bother, primarily, because the biggest benefit is derived from upgrading the dipped beam. At one time the kits used to cost £400 plus so most owners left it at that.

There's also the issue of the slight delay before HIDs get to maximum brightness as mentioned in the previous post. However, I don't think this would be a major issue, they are certainly bright enough in a few milliseconds for "flashing" purposes.

The kits are a lot cheaper now so it makes more economic sense. Just a matter of where to fix the ballast resistors and other gubbins.

Yes I've done it - was so appalled at the lights that I did dips then got offered another set second hand. Lights now wonderful - the lag is there but with the dips being so good it it doesnt matter as the delay is slight.

One of the best things I have done to the car!
