High mileage in a Pan...

Hi all

I sadly made a bit of a mistake last summer when under duress I let my Boxster go. Both my wife and my back didnt like it. I loved driving it of course but then Ive always liked driving and owning Porsches.

Im currently in limbo with a Audi S3 - I tried to get something a little more practice but also sporty and something that my wife would warm to. She has she loves it. Me - I really cant say that I like it at all.

Im tempted to look at a Panamera diesel which I appreciate is a different proposition entirely however its likely that I will have to start driving longer distances so Id value the comfort and refinement as well as the higher speed road manners.

Im estimating around 30k a year for a couple of years at least. In terms of depreciation Im aware that the Panamera is fairly strong over 3 years but does anyone have a view of the depreciation over the longer term, say 6 years? Also are their any higher mileage issues I should be aware of with the Pan?

Ive had many higher mileage cars before, some just need fuel, tyres and servicing others needed a whole lot more. I'm hoping the Pan is in the former category.

Also Im assuming the standard 18 inch wheels give a better ride? I know the difference between my winter tyre on 17s and my summer tyres on 19's in the Boxter was immense.

Would it be best to get a newish one and keep it longer or an early 2010 model?

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks

Andrew
