Doris (Day - Move over darling)

Required a new silencer - being born in March 2005 parts get bushed ( PSE does nothing for me as the switch has a will of its own)
Plus the manifolds are looking grim
So a complete new system from manifold to tail pipes will be ordered
£3,500 appears to be the going rate (cat 200 filters).

The Porsche system to me is made down to a price and sold high

Its quality I consider.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Peter

Cheers mon brav

Retaining the the original cats

Manifolds and silencers stainless steel - yet to make a final choice

Finally opting for a Supersprint system - the original just vexed me and was tbh shot - the switch had a mind of its own

Retaining the original cats - as for the rest - new

Also the two engine mounts are showing signs of decay so it's drop the engine and replace them at the same time - makes sense to me ( peace of mind and its sorted)

Hurrah

Fitted - only two manifold studs snapped

The improvement is vast. Not only in response which is astonishing.

But the whole character of the car is so much better.

Both the indy who gave advice and fitted the system and I are frankly delighted with the end result.

Had to change the tail pipes, although they appeared in good condition, on removal they wanted to be buried [:)]

Yes they did - however considering the horror stories posted on certain sites with regard to this issue I think with only two I got of lightly !
