HIGH WATER PRESSURE!!!!! HELP ?

Hi All...have owned Boxster 2.5 1999 since xmas, heater not working and water "boiling" a bit flumexed so took to local garage for service and thermostsat replacement. After some tinkering NO thermostat in place. So new one fitted, high pressure still and front offside rad now blown ( and replaced today) Still high water pressure, have odered new expansion cap.... Any ideas Please i'm affraid to drive it until cap arrives in post.

The boxster coolant has to be bled correctly,sounds like you have an air lock in the system.Vacuum bleeder is the best way to go.

OR if I might suggest, some sort of headgasket problem or even a crack in one of the cylinder bores causing a rad to blow. Do the coolant water and oil look OK? Some sort of leak/pressure testing seems necessary before you go any further.

If I dare say it - you have had the car for a short while in cold weather, now it is getting warmer you are experiencing some quite serious symptoms. Maybe the previous owner has covered up a more serious problem -- leaving you the innocent new owner to sort.

Hope it is not as bad as I fear but the omens are not good.
