Hi all, I'm new here and am thinking about a Porsche some time soon. I don't know which I'll go for yet but I love Porsches so am getting one as soon as I can (I have always wanted one).

Does anyone know of a good specialist that will be able to aid with tuning, service and repair for a Porsche in or near Inverness? I haven't heard of anyone thus far, but then again I haven't really been looking.

Thanks in advance
Cheers
Ian

There is a very good small independant in Rothienorman, just outside Inverurie. PM me if you want details. He does not advertise.

I also think there is a guy called Ricky Gauld near Huntly.

Cheers for that.

I wanted to know if there was anyone up here before I took the plunge into Porsche ownership.

No doubt I'll be back again soon with more questions [:D]

Cheers
Ian

Mark, is that Indy Car Sales your mentioning? Because if it is, don't go there. I live there and haven't heard one good word about that place. If it's overpriced Jap imports you want then he's the boy. Never seen a Porsche there in all the times I have passed. Ricky Gauld has an excellent reputation though, think he's well known in Ford RS and Lotus circles.

No its not.

Its the ex head tech from the OPC, lives hear Fisherford and has a small garage at the side of his house, I have used him for 9 yrs.

My apologies to him for that bit of confusion. My cayman will be out of warranty in April, did wonder about any decent garages roundabout Aberdeen.

I used to use Pitstop several years ago -- anyone been there recently and do they still do Porsche? If so have they had any Boxsters or 996s being worked on?

Hi Ian,
Where are you? I`m just north of Inverness myself, just contacted OPC Edinburgh, said it was 99+vat PH + parts....
