Hillcrest Specialist Cars, Nr. Henley

Guest

New member
Hi,

New to forum, so hi to everyone!

I am considering using Hillcrest Specialist Cars just outside Henley On Thames for a service on my 911.

Can anyone give me some feedback please?, Good or bad as long as it is constructive.

If it is negative feedback, maybe it would be fairer to email me at madonm3@yahoo.co.uk

Any feedback appreciated.

The guy I spoke to on the phone seemed very helpful and knowledgable.

Failing that any recommendations to Independant servicing around Swindon, Wiltshire area also appreciated. Steve Bull Specialist Cars is also a possibility for me.

Many Thanks. [FONT=verdana,geneva"][FONT=verdana,geneva"]

I spoke to Hillcrest but they hadnt seen many 968 so I didnt take it there. To be honest you cant go too wrong with Northway Porsche (jct off Jct 12 of the M4) They are an excellent bunch and the rates are good.

Wrightune at Wallingford are also very good and Tony used to work for G-Force and 911's are probably his strongest area.

HI,
I have used Steve Bull ..A1 nice guy and knows his Porsches and does a great job. I would use him more other than the fact that Northway are more convenient for me normally. They are good too.

Graham

I have used Hillcrest - I took my 944 there on personal recommendation from someone I met at one of the R19 meets. Simon there is a good bloke (ex Porsche OPC Reading) and was happy to take time to answer all my silly questions. His rates are pretty good too.

Cheers,

Ian

Thankyou to everyone who has replied so far.

Seems like I have a great choice with a number of specialists within an easy 40 mile radius !

As a new forum member, I am so pleased to receive replies like this, what a great bunch of guys we have here !

Appreciated !!

Regards,

Simon.

Hello,

I use Hillcrest for all my 928GT's work (i.e. a LOT!) - the work carried out is superb, along with their rates. Their knowledge of the older cars is excellent, and sometimes sorely lacking from the OPCs.

My R19 pals Jason (3.2) and James (944 S2) take theirs to Hillcrest too, and have never had -any- issues with work, cost or, timescales whatever. Hillcrest ROCK!

I hope this helps.

Cheers, Simon.

Cobalt-Blue 928GT (92).

Yep - Hillcrest has been great for my 964.
Simon is a real enthusiast and his rates are low.
I wouldn't take my car anywhere else.

Hi 964WLT

Simon at Hillcrest has been looking after my car for the last 3 years and the previous owner for the 5 years before that! Very helpful and works on all Porsches old and new ..a 968 was in there last week! [;)]

He has very good rates, and is more than happy to answer all your question, explaining everything clearly. He offers great advice and has saved me money on more than one occasion.

Excellent Service and I have recommended quite a few people to him over the years and all have been very satisfied.

I hope this helps.[:D]

I did use Hillcrest in the end. Simon and Richard (I think!!) both ex. OPC Reading are very good, nice guys and very helpful. There rates are excellent considering they are in the Porsche field.

But thankyou for all opinion's.

It is my first 911 and am an enthusiast with a kind of restricted budget !!!

Oil Service (Interim - 964 C2, £120 inc. VAT !!! )

Not used Hillcrest, although I've never heard a bad word about them. I can second the recommendation for Wrightune in Wallingford.

I've used Simon and Richard at Hillcrest for the last five years and never had a problem, always willing to answer questions and offer advice, very reasonable compared to a lot of other garages. Would highly recommend.

Simon, I think it was you that recommended them to me at one of the Reading OPC meets. Thanks.
