At our meeting at PC Leeds last Wednesday, Graham Thacker, the General Manager, kindly offered to pay the £5 entry fee for any Club member who would like to enter their car in the Bradford to Morecambe Historic Vehicle Run on Sunday 13th September.

The run attracts several car clubs and over 300 historic vehicles including motorbikes, a double decker bus and a pre-war fire engine and ambulance. Afternoon tea has been organised at The Midland Hotel on the sea front for PCGB members taking part.

The run is part of a nostalgia weekend which includes a fly past by a Lancaster bomber with a Spitfire escort as well as various activities along the sea front.

If you would like to join the run, please send your name, e-mail address and telephone contact numbers together with details of your car including the model and registration number to numan.choudhury@porscheleeds.co.uk by Friday 10th July[/b] at the latest.

Hi Ian - sent an email to the addresss given (clicked on it not retyped) and it bounced - non deliverable. Could you check to see if there is a typo? Thanks...

Hi Ian and Sharon, have booked in for this run. Should be an enjoyable day but don't really agree with the entry form when it states that there is plenty to do in Morecambe!!![:D]

Haven't heard a word from Numan!! Will try to contact him by phone.

Regards... Ian

It's the tea in the refurbed art deco Midland I'm after!!

Ditto - thoughthere is a strong possibility I may be at Silverstone ( Tour Britannia ) - will keep JCT informed.

We've also booked in for this run
Sent in the form, emailed and also rang dealership direct but also not yet heard anything
Hope it's still on as never been to Morecambe (sounds exciting)
If, as some say, there's not much to do then must take deck chairs and ogle at Eric's statue !!

After collecting a small part for my car from the Leeds OPC Parts dept last Thursday I popped in to the showroom to see Numam. He had heard nothing more and had forwarded all the interested parties details to a lady called Chris at JCT HO. Apparently she is the organiser and is supposed to be issuing details of the run. He said he would chase it up with her. Presumably she is in the new offices at Greengates near Woodhouse Grove School?
