Hi all, I have a couple of Boxster with little or no service history both seem to have been maintained fairly well. I have spoken to Porsche GB customer services and they have no records of either cars not even supplying dealers! Neither are imported so I find this strange. I have got build specs for both cars, one is a fairly standard 2001 2.7 the other is more interesting 1997 2.5 in Pastel Yellow with sports chassis, automatic braking LTD slip diff etc.
Has anyone got any suggestions where I might get some information please. Thanks Nick
 
Seen this several times since introduction of GDPR which has resulted in deletion of lots of historic data, including by servicing dealers.

Suggest:

- put registration and photos on forum and other Boxster web sites asking for info,

- try DVLA for original registration details and this should give you the supplying dealer,

- check the online MOT history,

- check number plates, key fobs, etc for any dealer details,

- try car mileage verification services as they still hold historic data.

Some services work on Vehicle Registration Number so you get gaps with use of personalised registration numbers.

Did this in 2021 in dealing with probate (relatives estate) and the car had started in London and then lived in Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and then multiple UK locations with 8 owners!

Thanks for this information I will give it a go. I will post pictures on here later with the old reg numbers as well as the original one with chassis number. Hopefully get some information

 
As been said with gdpr now days really difficult to find out much information now regards history owners ect .

MOT free checkers can throw a bit of light on past history.

But vehicles that have no service books or stamps in the book or any supporting paper work are a bit of a gamble and a mystery.

Hi Cliff, have some recent history with both cars about a couple of years but neither has a service book. The older 2.5 has had 10 owners the last for 2 years but the 7th had it for 11 years and very low mileage so would love to get in touch with them. Car has only got 88,800 on it when I bought it.
