Hole positions?

Hi folks
I'm about to fit a front rubber chin spoiler to my 87' 3.2 and was wondering if anyone knew of a template or schematic to indicate accurately as to where the mounting point holes need to be drilled. As you can appreciate I'm very apprehensive about "right first time" here and keen to deburr amd apply some galvafroid paint a.s.a.p on completion!

I dont know of such a template....a couple of years ago, I elected to refit a new chin spoiler to my car, and found that the new item did not line up to the pre drilled holes in my valance...I removed the new item and returned it to the supplier...

The best way to fit one (INHO) is to clamp each end onto the wheel arches and ensure the spoiler you have does fit without any bulges (i.e. work from both edges back to centre to ensure a snug fit...or not.

If all ok then mark with a felt tip pen through the predrilled holes in the rubber for your bolt positions.

Post later and let us know how you got on!

Thanks Alan
Will let you know how I get on.Drilling holes and provoking the corrosion demon gives me the shudders but then nothing ventured, nothing gained!
