Just wanted to thank you for a superb weekend in Honfleur. We couldn't control the weather all of the time but still had a ball.

Hi John and all who made the past week a really great trip. Many thank for all your hard work.
Great to meet up with you all and put some faces to names [:)]. Got back from France late Friday night after a really rough crossing [:(]

Thanks for your comments - not the best of weather although quite good compared to UK - Hope to be able to gets some pics together latter.

 
we got back late saturday night after falling foul of the backlash to delays caused by the gales during the 24 hours earlier even though we were at Calais 4 hours early......

we too would like to thank our R24 Committee for an enjoyable social event & was nice to meet folk from other regions too[:)]

we covered a total of 1735 miles, 700 of those on saturday en rte home & given some very 'spirited' bursts on the unlimited sections on the autobahns I was very happy with a return of 28.3 mpg average for the whole trip which included some very heavy traffic, to the point of switching off the engine.......

considering the cost of fuel in Europe, perhaps we should think before complaining of the prices here as I paid the equivalent of £1.57p for V-power at one point[:(]

ps - Porsche Museum was superb & I was only charged 4 Euros for entry x 2 + parking..... happy days

Hi All

It was great to meet everyone from R24 and Ann Marie and I would like to thank John and Kim and all the committee for their organisation.

We had a great time with you guys and then a further 4 days in Baden Baden. We finished off with a night near the Nurbursgring and a few laps of the circuit on damp tarmac. Very scary going sideways at speed with the armco getting too dam close!!! Never again will I do that in the wet!

All in all a great 10 days for us and covered about 1700 miles too.
