Hood catching

Good Evening all,

My wife's 1999 2.7 hood has a habit of catching the passenger side roll bar both going up and coming down - and it is scratching the paint if you do not help it a bit.

is there anyone out there who has or has had the same issue and if so how did you rectify it?

We are new to the Boxter thing, but the car is quite 'squeeky' to drive, although she handles well, again is this normal for breed?

Hi,

I can't really offer any advice about the hood catching, but there are a number of areas that are known to cause noise from the soft top. You should find some useful info in the Porsche Technical Service Bulletin I've attached.
