Hood Gas Struts

Just changed the front and rear Gas Struts and now the hoods stay up on their own !! Been putting this job off since I bought the car 9 months ago but the job was not as bad as I thought it would be, just needed some care not to ping off the clips or drop anything and you need to be a contorsionist to get to the inner clips on the rear ones.

Excellent job to do on any 911. Suddenly you can load shopping without looking like a pl*nker as the boot descends on your head.

Strange - for some reason the firewall wouldn't let me upload the word "pl*nker"
 
I bought mine from a company called Marque 21 Racing (01308 459106) Lisa is very helpful. They were £12.74 each for the front and £7.49 ecah for the rear. They are a genuine German manufactured product but not sure if they are genuine Porsche.

There is a useful article on the Rennsport web site about fitting them.
