i know this isnt strictly a porsche question but am seeking your advice really as will consider changing my porsche's cover if i cannot resolve it.
basically some scrote slashed the roof on my a4 cab, the insurance company were initially good, picking it up within the hour to take it to a secure garage then telling me they would be in touch. 2 weeks passed didnt really need the car as i was away on holiday but on my return receive a phone call from the garage doing the work saying the insurance company upon receiving the quote for the oem hood refused to pay this and have sourced an aftermarket hood for £2500 reasoning being that the car is over 3 years old! checked my policy and although it does say they are within right to use non manufacturer parts there is no mention of the three year thing. what should i do, accept this option or fight my corner? am worried about the fit and quality of the new roof.
thanks for the advice guys.
