horn beeps when locked

daws

New member
Seen this on the forum before, but cant remember the reasons.
My horn beeps when i lock the car with the remote,
I have had the stereo pulled out to see how the panasonic cd player is wired up.
I have not pulled any wires out as i can see, and pushed it back in again. But when i locked it the horn beeped to say there is a fault, but it could be nothing to do with that. i have checked the storage box is closed and the boot and bonnet and doors ,all are ok. would the pulling out of the stereo cause this.

It could be any of the alarm switches broken but if the fault started when the radio was put back in it seems highly likely to be the cause unless something else broke by coincidence at the same time.

As others have said, probably the Stereo.
One final thing is the petrol flap lock - this also has a sensor connected to the alarm.

Thanks guys, Having the panasonic changed for an alpine next weekend at halfords so hopefully will cure it.
