Has anyone else had this happen to them ?

Sunday night a returned home and my neighbour told me that my car alarm had gone off twice the night before. My car was in the garage and he said it sounded like a horn so i set mine off to prove it could`nt be mine and he agreed that it was a different sound .....
So it must of been my horn . Then tried my horn which now does`nt work.
Another neighbour then came out to tell me the same .
I then remember waking up and hearing an alarm going off which was a continuos horn sound whereas my alarm is a high pitched pulsing siren !!
So has this happend to anyone else or is it a sign ?

Hi Matt,
I have a Toad Cat 1 alarm fitted to my 3.2. It has an anti hijack function, to lock/unlock car I use the key fob. Once you enter the car the anti highjack will secure doors, to switch anti highjack off I use the key fob, the alarm on the car if activated is a high pitch siren however if I switch the anti highjack mode off using the central locking button located in the cars centre console all is fine untill you open the car door to exit and then the car horn sounds on/off for approx 20 seconds, I can turn this off by using the key fob. I can only imagine that there must be a link in the system between old and new alarm systems. Hope this is of some use..Gwyn.
