Hot air when the heating is off

When I switch off the heating I still feel some hot air coming into the cabin.

Is this normal or does anyone have a solution to this.

Sounds like the heater box flaps are sticking open, check the posts on here as its a common problem.
You could try lubricating the cables as they sometimes stick and cause the flaps not to close properly.

Could be the very end of one of the outer cables is fouling the valve itself so stopping it from opening and letting the hot air escape, they sometimes get bent into the valve as one of mine did, a rock I expect, start by inspecting the operation of the valves with the car on a lift or stands and someone operating the control in the car. If you feel the cables need looking at read this before you start.

Sometimes the springs just get tired and need replacing. That and some lubrication is sometimes enough.
