Hot Cabin - offside only

Have recently joined the forum and very impressed with the knowledge and info you all offer.
Hope someone can assist with this:

I know heating is a well-discussed subject, but I am having problems tracking my specific problem on my 993 C4 (96). When the heater is set to cold, I am still getting hot(ish) air from the offside air vent, or if this is closed from the middle vents. I have removed the heater control unit, and everything appears to be working OK, including the aircon and the fanspeeds. Having opened the ducting from the footwell, there is hot air coming along the sill in the duct/tube there, whereas this does not appear to be the case on the other (passenger) side unless the heater is turned onto a hot setting (therefore allowing the vents on this side to warm up as expected).
Any bright ideas?
Thanks
Dave

Many thanks for that, Maurice. I had noticed that when I adjusted the temp that a servo adjusted under the bonnet, but hadn't realised that there were two servos (one for each side). I will have a go at this over the next couple of days and let you know how I get on!
Thanks
Dave
