hot day problem!

On one of the sunniest lunchtimes last week I decided to go for a drive. My black / black coupe was positively uncomfortable inside so i decided to open the sun roof. The heat must have melted the glue though as the sunroof headlining gathered up and detached itself from the sunroof. Can anyone recommend somewhere to take it to get fixed? How much should I budget for?[:(]

If you indicate where you are there should be plenty of recommendations. Hopefully, if it isn't damaged, it shouldn't be too tricky to fix.

Most Porsche sunroofs are pretty useless. On the 3.2 lowering the passenger window provides better cool airflow without the noise and buffeting

I think the headlining material is glued to a hardboard base which has door trim-like fixings on the leading edge to attach it to the sunroof panel. If the material has come off then it might just be a case of sticking it back on.

I've been tinkering with my sunroof recently and found the best source of information to be the technical articles on Pelican Parts.

If you are in the mid-BEDS area I'd be happy to help you to try to sort it out.

Thanks. I'm in Leeds. The lining was glued and also fastened to the leading edge of an alloy sheet (not hardboard) which now rattles annoyingly. It was fastened by what looks like one use clips (they look easy enough to get off but not without bending them permanently. I might just bite the bullet and take it to Strasse!!
