How about a screw?

for the front fog.drive lights [;)]

Tried to take them out got 3 but one of the screws is well and truly stuck, so i will have to drill it out. Asked OPC and they said they dont come individually!! @rse.

They are like M4 machine screws with a fine thread abt 1 1/2" long, at a guess!!

Has anyone managed to source them. If so where?

Thanks

Be very very careful when you drill it out. I have heard of a number of people who have damaged the clear lens and the unit behind when trying to remove those screws. From memory both of those parts are well over £100 to replace. Have you tried a good 2-3 day soaking in Plus Gas or WD40 before getting destructive?

Can't help you with the screw I'm afraid, Have you tried a local Motor Factors or big hardware store (B&Q depot etc)

For anything like this I just go to a local supplier, in my case Teesside Industrial Fastners, and match it there. If you have something like this local to you it's worth popping down.

Try a search on www.yell.com for FIXINGS & FASTENINGS in your area

Cheers, problem is i think some else has tried and knackerd the head!! and on one side you just cant get into it with mole grips(even the long nose version) Will have ago with plus gas but still really have to get the head off so i can take the light unit out then really get at it. Just needs a 6mm bit and steady hand!!! []

But its a summer job, not trying that when its -5 outside.
