... can you get in a 944?

Mission this weekend is to pick up a tree. First time with a smaller car so should be interesting. Having said that previous Mondeo saloon had the worst load area I have ever seen.

I reckon if I am cunning I should be able to get a six footer in.

Anyone else done it?

Annual event.

Easy.

Make sure that the tree is placed in a netting sleeve (or similar) to keep it contained when in the car.

Oli.

I had considered that but assumed that there wouldn't be many pine needles left after the hoon home [;)]

Likewise, I usually fit a seven footer in, no bother.

Lay the passenger seat down, bottom end of the tree in the footwell and top end of the tree towards the rear hatch glass. Loads of room.

.....and don't firget to lay a big plastic tarpaulin down beforehand or you'll be picking fir needles out of your upholstery for months [&o]

I cheated and used my van this year [;)]

My brother in law snapped this one of me last xmas.....He fell around laughing at the site of my beetle what looked like chewing up my tree! Not a great pic but he was laughing at the time!

That beetle pic is brilliant. Not sure what your friendly copper would say though.

The car swallowed the tree with no problems and I now know that I can get a way bigger tree in next year, of course assuming that they aren't as extortionately expensive.
