just a quickie, I want to put the original steering wheel back on, but I cant figure out how to remove the horn part from the steering wheel, sounds stupid, but I dont want to break it by forcing it.

:)

If it's the 'lozenge' type wheel then you just grip the centre both sides and pull, there's no screws or anything

They can be a bit stiff though so if you're sat in the drivers seat pulling towards you be careful not to smash yourself squarely on nose with the horn push when it finally gives up its resistance [:)]
You beat me to it david !

lol luckily it wasnt on the car or im sure it would have got me [:)]

im just giving it a good clean before I put it back on as its got a wooden one on at the minute that im not keen on.

its all nice and clean now so Ile put it on tomorrow, ive also got some silicone vacuum hose for the forester.

I actually removed it today to put the standard one on, however the horn wont work on the standard one, so I have removed the centre part of the wheel and I think it looks much better. what do you think?

I think that you should use the boss to mount a Momo, and quickly!

Did you connect the wire to the horn push pad on the original wheel? It runs from the bottom of the original boss section and has a slender Lucar connector on the end. You need to check that the wooden wheel's boss isnt a cheap-type that used the cars horn ring. If theres a brass on plastic ring on the base, held on by three screws then your red wheel isnt going to sound the horn, because the contact is missing. Youll need to swap it over taking care to keep the indicator cancelling cam in the correct orientation.

there was no wire so I guess that why :) ile do it tomorrow, just watching/watched the terry pratchet doc on bbc2... omg!!

have you seen that since he made the doc he had applied for an assisted suicide with them?
