How do I delete a historical post?

New member
I was surfing the net for the new Red Line Racing web site in Thornaby the other day and in the search appeared Porsche Club postings where I had mentioned Red Line. Could any one advise how I delete historical posts? I have posted things on the site that I only wanted to discuss with fellow furum guys here, not the whole world. Any advice would help.

Just do a search and you can edit or delete your own post.

I just used the search function on the site for all posts by you with "Red line" and it came up with 3 posts (inc this one):
http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/searchpro.asp?phrase=%22Red+Line%22+&author=Mike+M&forumid=ALL&topicreply=both&message=body&timeframe=%3E&timefilter=0&language=single&top=300&criteria=exact&submitbutton=+OK+

Do keep in mind that all search engines use local cache (hence they are so fast with results) so deleting from the site will not delete it from the search preview and someone can still click on the cached pages and see it.

Thanks for that, I'm only 40 but all this tech stuff goes way over my head. Probably the lack of interest[:)]. Thanks again for the advice, it appears not to be worth deleting if its still out there
