If you are having cooling problems and want to really flush, do a back flush. The easiest way, I think, is to get a T plumbing fitting and such and put that in the coolant line from block to the heater at the back of the engine. Hook a garden hose up to it run the engine and everything comes pouring out of the reservoir tank. These kits also have an attachment to stick into the tank to catch all that is coming out so you don't poison pets or small children that like to drink pools of colored liquid on the ground.
The backflush hardware only costs about $5 in the USA. Prestone puts out a package Your labor is extra, like 0 cents an hour. []

The drain on the radiator is a plastic bolt and they go brittle be carefull if you use it!

I don't recall exactly, but I think that plastic bolt is also screwed into the plastic end tank of the radiator. So you have two disasters waiting to happen if you mess with it. Not a good situation.
