How do I lower the electric seats further on a 964/5?

I have a Turbo 2 with factory leather turbo seats (high side bolsters). The driver seat height is just about OK (I'm 6'1") but there is no way I could wear a crash helmet for track day.

The seats are as low as they go via the electric adjustment. Is there an adjustment or kit to lower further?

Apart from cutting out the floor I think you are snookered on that one Mark. [:)]
Perhaps the way to go would be to have a different seat for track day use.
Cheers

Mark,

In Adrian Streather's book, for taller drivers, he suggests placing a 3mm washer (999 025 125 09) on the rear thread hole for the seat mount. This is supposed to enable the seat to move a further 22.5mm down and back.

It is something I plan to try, although you thought I already had the seat adjusted further back than yours.

Brian.

Hi Brian,
I'm not bothered about the adustment backwards, I actually like to drive quite far forward, and have some room left. It's purely the headroom (which is made worse by my upright driving position). My options are to try to get used to more of an incline on the backrest (not keen) or lower the base/ frame. Great input about the washer mod. I'll look into it.

I have exactly the same problem; mine has a sunroof which also reduces headroom slightly. Suppose I could drive with the sunroof open!
