I'm going to post this thread on as many registers as i think may be able to help me!

On pre 993 targa and convertible models, there is fitted to the top of the quarterlights a seal/stop for the main door window. Mine are badly worn door to excessive travel of the windows, (badly adjusted to meet the roof seals).

Does anyone know how to replace these 'bits'...I have bought a pair from Porsche Chiswick, but from as far as I can see, the upright support is either welded or riveted in somehow....

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Alan, do you mean the small part that attaches to the top of the quarterlight frame ?

Part numbers 901 542 031 40 & 901 542 032 40 (early)
or 911 542 065 41 & 911 542 066 41 (late)


If so, these are attached via 2 countersunk machine screws (top) & 2 rivets (to vertical part of qtr light frame).
