...30 years of the 924?

It's not long till November 2005 - especially if some kind of event has to be organised.

November 1975, La Grande Motte harbour, Camargue, South Of France saw the launch of the 924.

So, 924 fans, any suggestions on how best to mark this event?

Given the long notice a retrun to the scene of the 'crime' in Nov 2005 should be doable, or we might get space to gather at Duxford In Cambridgeshire, but you'd have to enquire. I know they allow other car enthusiast groups to meet there, but GERMAN cars in the Imperial War Museum. Politically correct sacrilige? We'd want more than 16 924s for any event so get canvassing. I could muster up a brace of turbos, so thats 3 including you.
What say the other members?

What about getting on to the BBC and reminding them of the fact that the Porsche 924 is 30 years old. Maybe they could do a Top Gear special. If that happens, bags one of the tickets to see the show recorded. Maybe we could even borrow a 924gts and let the 'Stig' drive it with Clarkson in the passenger seat and see of he still calls it a hairdressers car.
