How do you clean yours?

What cleaning product do use to clean your rubbers.

I have tried using all sorts - the best being being Turtle wax, not quite sure what it's called but it comes out in foam. The problem with this is that it leaves over spray around all the rubbers - pain in the ass to clean off!

What do you use?

Part of my Zymol 'kit' is a spray for cleaning tyre walls - this seems to work really well on all rubber bits on the car (well, it would, wouldn't it ? But, of course, that only dawned on me a few weeks ago.)

Son of a Gun - a great product, closely followed by ArmourAll, the latter being cheaper, both very effective. Have dabbled with alsorts for the rubber. I also spoke to the 3.2 owner in the Nat. Concours last year he used ArmourAll! Gets my vote then.

hi hugh,
you say you were talking to the owner of the 3.2 at last years nat concours, what was the coulour of the car.

cheers
steve

Sorry guys not been on for a couple of days..2 questions.
1) colour of car? Do you know I am not 100% sure, I think it was white, I dont tend to remember colours, fairly sure it was an early 3.2 coupe with a 915 gbox, on a c plate. Not 100% though. To be honest I spoke to his wife, who was sat at the back with all the polishes and bits.
2) "son of a gun" can be bought at most reasonable autofactors, but halfords, its about £4 for a pump action spray bottle. The bottle is yellow, see here for example. http://www.ishop.co.uk/ishop/884/shopscr349.html but I am sure you could get it locally.

regards

H (off to LeMans tomorrow [:D] )

hi hugh, i think i was the person that you spoke to at the nat concours, mr car is white and is a 3.2 , with 915 box .
the stuff i use is avalible from the polisjing company and is called i think, 302.
i also use there polish (p21s) on the body , it is a curnuba wax and is in my opinion as goos as all the others at a lot less monies, if you search the net for p21s it seems to be all the rage in the us at present.. the rubber stuff looks like the bottle of the make you mentioned.
