Hi All,

How do i get to the water drain pipe at the filler cap? I plan to change all the drain pipes from the roof and I see that this one is connected via a Y section to the pipe from the roof drains.

I cant see how you get to it to change it. any ideas?

Regards

Jason

Go into the boot section, remove the offside carpet carefully or you will bust the fastners and reach along and get it, give the metal 90 degree bend a good clean as they crud up.

If yours has perished, or suffered a little overspray as in my case, they are suitably cheap from an OPC. Worth doing, as a leak here results in a rusty hole at the base of the rear wing, like this:

All fixed now of course.

I had it done as part of some other restorative work, so I can't give exact costs but it's not a tricky job. Weld some steel in, seal on the inside, seal on the outside. There's no paiting to do, which keeps cost low I suspect.
